Side event “Cultural approaches to wise use of wetlands – past, present and future” – submission of posters

in the framework of Ramsar COP13 in Dubai are organising the side event “Cultural approaches to wise use of wetlands – past, present and future” in Dubai, on 23 October 2018 at 19.40 in Room 8.

The event seeks to celebrate the powerful role that cultural values and communities can play in improving conservation outcomes for wetlands, in particular highlighting the achievements of the MAVA funded project “Conservation of the natural and cultural heritage in wetlands: Global leadership for an integrated approach through the Ramsar Convention” (March 2015-March 2018).  Participants will be drawn from UNESCO, the World Wetland Network, ICOMOS, MedWet, MedINA, the Ramsar Culture Network, the Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage and IUCN Heritage groups, as well as from local partners in the Middle East.  It will be chaired by Slovenia.

During the side event, a poster exhibition will be hosted. You’re invited to submit a poster of relevant projects, using the template attached. Feel free to experiment with colour/fonts/font sizes but please respect the character number limitation.

Deadline for submission is Wednesday 16 October 2018. All posters (sized A0) will be printed in Dubai with the responsibility of the organising institutions. Please send your poster or any question you might have to Irini Lyratzaki at ilyratzaki@med-ina.org.
