Call for Applications for the Whitley Awards 2017

Gain recognition as an outstanding conservationist who is making a real and long-lasting difference on the ground!

The Whitley Fund for Nature (WFN) is a UK registered charity offering ‘Whitley Awards’ to dynamic conservation leaders around the world. Whitley Awards are both an international profile prize and a form of project funding worth £35,000 over one year.

The application period for the Whitley Awards 2017 is now OPEN – the deadline for applications is 31st October 2016.

Please visit http://whitleyaward.org/apply-for-conservation-funding/how-to-apply/ to read the eligibility criteria, and download the application form and guidance notes.

The Awards will be presented at the annual Whitley Awards Ceremony in April/May 2017 and successful applicants will receive funding in May/June that year. Since 2001, WFN’s Patron, HRH The Princess Royal has presented our internationally recognised Awards – often referred to as ‘Green Oscars’.

Whitley Awards are aimed at biodiversity conservation leaders working in countries or regions of which they are nationals and that are not defined as a HIGH-INCOME ECONOMY by the World Bank (with exceptions).
